Terms of Service for Project Talus

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and playing Project Talus ("the Game"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not play the Game.

2. Description of Service

Project Talus is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) set in a fantasy world. The Game includes virtual items, characters, and in-game currency that have no real-world value.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

You must create an account to play Project Talus. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

3.2 Account Ownership

You may only maintain one account per person. Multiple accounts are strictly prohibited and may result in permanent bans.

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for other reasons we deem necessary.

4. User Conduct

4.1 General Rules

• Respect all players and staff members
• Do not harass, threaten, or intimidate other players
• Do not use offensive language or inappropriate content
• Do not exploit bugs or game mechanics for unfair advantage
• Do not share account information with others

4.2 Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

• Cheating, hacking, or using unauthorized third-party software
• Creating or distributing viruses, malware, or harmful code
• Impersonating staff members or other players
• Spamming chat channels or forums
• Scamming or phishing other players
• Violating local, state, or international laws

5. Virtual Items and Currency

5.1 Ownership

All virtual items, characters, and currency in Project Talus are the property of the Game developers and operators. Players are granted a limited license to use these virtual assets within the Game.

5.2 Loss of Items

We are not responsible for the loss of virtual items due to player error, account compromise, or other circumstances beyond our control.

6. Payment and Donations

6.1 Premium Features

Project Talus offers optional premium features and items that can be purchased with real currency.

6.2 Refund Policy

All purchases are final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law.

6.3 Payment Processing

Payments are processed through secure third-party providers. We do not store your payment information on our servers.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Game Content

All game content, including but not limited to graphics, sounds, music, text, and software, is the intellectual property of Project Talus and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

7.2 User Content

By posting content in the Game, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, modify, and distribute that content within the Game.

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of Project Talus.

9. Disclaimers

9.1 Service Availability

We strive to provide continuous service but cannot guarantee that the Game will be available at all times or free from interruptions.

9.2 No Warranty

The Game is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

9.3 Limitation of Liability

Our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for premium features in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Game Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any aspect of Project Talus at any time without notice. This includes but is not limited to game mechanics, items, features, and server availability.

11. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend your account for violations of these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Game will be resolved through binding arbitration in the United States.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Game after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
